glue. A work of art made by gluing materials such as paper scraps, photographs,
and cloth on to a flat surface. Collage as a technique was introduced by the
Cubists, and used by many different art groups since the beginning of the modern
age. Including cubism, color field, constructivism, and various postmodern disciplines.
Assemblage:(pronounced "ah-sahm-BLAZH")
1. Assemblage is an art term used to describe many different art forms, and
movements. The most prominent of these is collage, and its close cousin decollage.
An assemblage can be made of paper, fabric, photos, or , even 3-dimensional
objects.
2. Sculpture formed by joining individual pieces, sometimes found objectsthat
may or may not contribute their original identities to the total content of
the work.
